About
Hello!
Kolby Kail, M.S., CCC-SLP, COM®, Parenting Coach
I’m Kolby, the head speech-language pathologist at Family First Speech Therapy. I’m a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, as well as a licensed California Speech-Language Pathologist. I am also certified in orofacial myology and the PROMPT technique, and have an extensive understanding of motor speech disorders, orofacial myofunctional disorders (OMDs), apraxia, articulation, phonology, and language.
A few more details…
I began my career working in early intervention, treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, apraxia of speech, and articulation and language disorders. I have 20+ years of clinical experience and specializes in treating children 18 months through 14 years. I work with a variety of school districts and opened Family First Speech Therapy to better serve my community. Because of my school-based experience, I have the specific expertise in helping parents understand the IEP process.
I believe there is no better feeling than helping a child achieve their communicative goals while having fun. At Family First Speech Therapy, my team and I integrate therapy goals into play activities that are fun and functional, prioritizing trust and connection with families to facilitate consistent progress.
