We are starting school around this time and let me tell you the biggest difference in my mindset.
I used to approach the year based on what was possible, not with the belief that anything is possible.
I was literally shrinking my — and my kids’ — potential based on our history and limited experiences. Convincing myself that was OUR TRUTH.
Instead of looking at the world like it had endless opportunities, which it does, I fixed my mind on what we had achieved in the past, and what I knew.
A change of mindset
Once I decided that ANYTHING is possible, I got to act courageously.
Which meant…
- Taking action even when there is fear.
- Going all in.
- Saying yes to new experiences.
- Not thinking about what was likely to happen.
- Not seeing anything as failures — only as lessons.
The moment I let myself believe that anything could happen, it all started to happen. New opportunities came. Unexpected progress came. And happiness began to spread.
You can have endless possibilities, too!
Crazy to think that possibilities aren’t reserved for the special. They are available to any one of us. It starts with us believing.
Do you believe the sky is the limit with your child? If you want to see new possibilities, check out my Support Vault, where you can have all the resources you need to make new possibilities happen for your child who is struggling with speech, language/social, or articulation/oral motor development.
