How to Help Your Child Achieve Success (Without Motivation)

mom and daughter have routines that help them achieve success in language, speech, oral motor, and social skills.

Most people think that motivation is the key to success, but research shows that it has nothing to do with it. The real secret to achieving your goals is discipline and routines.

My question to you: What are you doing every day with your child so that they succeed (in whatever area — speech, language, social, oral motor, etc.) when they leave your home?

To put your goals into action, you need to create a plan and stick to it. This means setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.

Take a moment to consider this question: What are your child’s SMART goals?

Going beyond SMART goals

Then, in addition to SMART goals, you also need to establish daily routines that will help you develop the habits that will lead to success.

One of the best ways to put your goals into action is to meet with a coach. A coach can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and create a plan that is tailored to your specific needs. They can also provide accountability, which is essential for staying on track and making progress.

MOVE THE NEEDLE TOWARDS SUCCESS NOW!

Waiting for the right time to start working towards your goals is a common problem, but it is one that can be overcome. By taking action and starting today, you will be one step closer to achieving your dreams. Remember, success is not easy, but it is worth it.

How to find support

Making routines is one of our specialties at Family First Speech Therapy — it is the reason I named my company “Family First.”

My first priority is to have your family reach small goals — which then leads to the BIG goals being met!

If YOU are clear on what small steps you need to do each day, YOU WILL WIN. Let me help you get clear!

Your child will NOT get bullied, your child will NOT be without quality friendships, your child will NOT be procrastinating.

Your child will be living their best life because you taught them how to reach their goals!!

That is what I want for you and your child — and I’m here to help you.

I encourage you to model a spirit of doing hard things by asking for help. Don’t be afraid to seek the guidance and support of those around you. With discipline, determination, and the right mindset, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
